Help with Discrepancies in Storage Space on Windows 11

I'm experiencing some confusion with my storage drives on Windows 11. I've recently added some new drives, but the space reported seems inconsistent. In the storage settings, it shows that I have a Local disk with only 254 GB, yet when I check the 'About your PC' section, it indicates a total of 943 GB available. What could be causing this issue, and how can I fix it?

Windows 11's storage management can be a bit tricky sometimes. If you're seeing different amounts of space, it's likely because the 'About your PC' section shows the total across all drives you have, while the storage settings might only be reporting one specific drive. I recommend checking out the properties for each drive in Windows Explorer, or even using tools like WizTree or WinDirStat to get a clearer picture of what's taking up space.

Remember that hard drives are usually partitioned. Your C: drive is just a partition of your larger hard drive. To really understand how much space each partition is using, head to Disk Management. It gives you a detailed view of all your partitions and any potential recovery spaces that might be affecting available storage.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll check Disk Management to see how everything is laid out.
