Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a frustrating issue on my iPad 7 WiFi. It's stuck in a boot loop, and while I can access recovery mode, I keep getting error 4013 when I try to restore or update it. I've even tried using the IPSW files from ipsw.me. I can also get into DFU mode, but the same error comes up when I try restoring there too. Just to add, I have a MacBook M2 Pro and I'm using USB-C to Lightning and USB-A to Lightning cables. Any help would be appreciated!

I had a similar issue with my iPhone XS Max. Disconnecting the front camera or speaker helped, but sometimes it's actually the ambient light or proximity sensor causing the problem. I found corrosion on the sensor under a microscope and was able to resolder it. If you’re planning to go that route, just make sure you have the right tools and know what you're doing!

Have you tried using Finder on your MacBook to initiate the restore? If not, make sure to delete the app from your Mac and reinstall it. After that, grab the correct IPSW file for your iPad from ipsw.me. When you’re in Finder, hold down the settings key, click on "restore iPad", and select the IPSW file you downloaded. Just a heads up, restoring will erase all your data! Good luck!

Yeah, I’m using Finder! I can't really reinstall it though. I tried the IPSW approach after posting. I’ll update if it works!
