Help with PC Freezing and BSOD on Cold Boot with XMP Enabled

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my new build. Whenever I perform a cold boot, my PC often freezes. It sometimes gets stuck on the NZXT splash screen or boots to Windows before freezing, and I occasionally encounter a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). Usually, it takes me 2 or 3 hard restarts to stabilize the system. When I disable XMP and run my RAM at the default 4800MT/s, everything works perfectly. Here are my specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-14700K
- Motherboard: NZXT N7 Z790
- GPU: Asus TUF RTX 4070 Ti Super
- Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240 AIO
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR5 6000 MHz CL36 (XMP profile is 36-44-44-1.4v)
- SSD: Samsung 980 500GB x 2
- PSU: Gigabyte UD 850 Gold Plus
- Case: Jonsbo D41 Mesh
- Monitor: AORUS FO27Q3

I've updated the BIOS to the latest version (17.03), manually tried reducing the speed to 5600MT/s with no luck, and ran memory tests (Memtest86) that passed without errors. I also reinstalled Windows with all drivers updated. My Windows SSD sometimes vanishes from the BIOS boot manager, which adds to my suspicion of instability. What could be causing this? Is it a motherboard issue, a CPU memory controller problem, or is my RAM just not compatible with the board?

Are you mixing different RAM sizes or brands? Even if they're both 2x16GB kits, they can still be unstable together. I had a similar experience with two sets of the same brand but different manufacturing batches, and it led to major instability, including daily BSODs. Just something to check!

Nope, I'm using a matched 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance set, so that shouldn't be the issue.

It sounds like your RAM might not be fully compatible with your motherboard. Even if it’s listed in the compatibility list, sometimes individual RAM kits still cause issues. It’s rare, but it does happen! Have you double-checked the specifications and timings?

I understand that could happen. Compatibility doesn't always guarantee stability. Good luck troubleshooting!

Keep in mind that XMP profiles are essentially overclocks, and they're not guaranteed to work flawlessly. You might want to try manually tweaking your settings to slightly lower speeds or looser timings and see if that improves stability. It could help!
