I recently took my PS4 controller to a repair shop to fix two problems: stick drift and the controller not charging. While those issues were addressed, I've ended up with two new problems. First, the battery no longer seems to work; the controller turns off as soon as I unplug it. Second, when I'm playing with friends, they hear a static noise in their headphones. I usually play wired, so the battery issue isn't a big deal for me, but that static sound is really bothersome. Is the static noise something that can happen after repairs, or did they mess something up? Also, could the battery issue lead to other problems? Just a heads up, my headphone jack is a bit tilted, but I don't have any static when I use it with other controllers.

Static sounds often pop up if there’s an issue with the headphone jack connection, especially if it’s a bit tilted. It might help to clean the jack or just double-check that everything's snug. As for the battery, if they didn't reconnect it properly, you might face random shutdowns or even other functional issues later on, so it’s worth addressing that with the shop.
It sounds like the battery might not be connected inside your controller. If they're not properly plugged in, it could definitely lead to those charging problems. As for the static noise, it might be related to the headphone jack or a loose connection that happened during the repair. Did you try a different headphone jack just to rule that out? That static noise can be pretty annoying!
Yeah, static noises can happen if the jack isn't seated correctly. You might want to see if they can recheck that jack to make sure it's all good.

Thanks for the tips! I’m going to check the connection and maybe bring it back to the shop to see if they can sort out the battery and static noise.
