Help with Random Computer Reboots During Light Browsing

I have a Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X motherboard with BIOS version F10 (I've also tried F11 and F12a). My setup includes an Intel i5 9600K processor, a Corsair CX 750M power supply, and 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM. Lately, my computer has been randomly rebooting while I'm just browsing lightly. The event viewer shows a critical error labeled 'kernel-power 41.' However, I noticed that if I open YouTube and play a 24-hour video in full screen, my computer doesn't reboot at all. I'm curious about what might be causing this issue and how I can fix it.

Also, I've observed that my fans never ramp up to 100% even under heavy load and high CPU temperatures (around 100°C). They only hit 100% at boot. The temperatures are normal when the reboots occur. Importantly, during the reboots, everything loses power, including all fans and GPU lights, until it starts booting again. Any insights would be appreciated!

If you're concerned about voltage drops causing reboots, you can definitely use HWInfo64 to log your CPU voltage while you're idle or under light loads. That should give you some data to see if it's dropping unexpectedly.

Regarding your fans, that sounds frustrating! If adjusting the BIOS settings isn't making any difference, it might be wise to check if they're on the right headers or if there's a hardware issue causing them to not reach 100%.

It sounds like your CPU voltage might be dipping too low during light loads. This can definitely lead to those random reboots. I suggest increasing the Load Line Calibration (LLC) in the BIOS if you have your CPU voltage set to auto. If you're manually undervolting, you might need to either reduce that undervolt or boost the LLC setting.

As for your fans, check the fan curve settings in your BIOS. You want to see what temperature triggers 100% PWM. Also, ensure that they aren't set to a quiet mode—switch them to performance mode or manually adjust the fan curve to your liking.
