I'm having problems after upgrading my CPU from a Ryzen 7 2700X to a Ryzen 9 5950X on my ASUS ROG Strix B350F motherboard. I made sure to update the BIOS to version 6232 before the swap. Everything was functioning well with the 2700X, but now when I turn on the PC, the fans spin, I hear the standard post beep, but I get a blank screen. I've tried removing three RAM sticks, swapping those out, clearing the CMOS, and reseating the CPU. I even switched from using DisplayPort to HDMI. Despite all this, I'm still having no luck. Am I missing something? Should I have done incremental BIOS updates instead of jumping straight to the latest version? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

First off, did you buy that 5950X new or used? If it's used, it could potentially be faulty. From what you described, you shouldn't have an issue just going for the latest BIOS version since your motherboard supports the 5950X. Also, when you hear the post beep, give it a few minutes; sometimes it takes a little longer to boot up with a new CPU. Try booting with just one stick of RAM in the right slot, as per your motherboard manual. It's also a good idea to make sure your chipset drivers are updated for the new CPU as well. And check if your GPU needs a firmware update too, but that might not be necessary since it was working fine before.
I think you're right about waiting a bit after the post beep. Sometimes it just needs time to configure everything with the new CPU. Give it a shot with a 5-10 minute wait next time! Also, I would definitely try booting with just one stick of RAM to rule that out.
