Help with Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Yoke Recognition in MSFS 2024

I'm using an Arch-based Linux distribution and have switched my flight simulator games over from Windows. I specifically use a Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Yoke and Quadrant. While it works perfectly fine in X-Plane 12, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 only recognizes it as Xbox controllers, which is frustrating because I can't fly properly with it. I've ensured my system doesn't have any additional input-modifying software running. Meanwhile, the KDE system settings show it as a game controller of an unknown type. Is there any way to fix this issue without getting a new controller? I'm currently using Proton-GE and I'm not experiencing this issue with other games. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It sounds like the way FS2024 is handling your controller is what's causing the issue. Have you checked if there's a specific configuration needed for flight controllers in Steam Input settings? Sometimes adjusting the settings there can help it recognize your yoke and quadrant correctly.

You might want to try running MSFS 2024 using Bottles, either with Soda or Wine GE Proton. This way, you can install the drivers for your flight controller within the same environment. Sometimes, tweaking the settings in Bottles with overrides similar to what Wine Tricks offers can help too. Give that a shot and see if it makes a difference!
