I created a 32GB archive folder called '2023' on my 9th gen iPad and have other similar folders. Recently, I was tight on storage, so I zipped these files and uploaded them to Google Drive, where I've had a paid TB storage plan. I've downloaded and re-uploaded them multiple times without issues, but when I tried to unzip the '2023' folder, I received a notification saying, 'operation couldn't be completed, inappropriate file type or format.' I've attempted this again weeks later, but the same error occurs.
Previously, someone mentioned that downloading it to a computer might help with unzipping. I'd like to confirm if that's a viable option before I invest time since I recall someone being negative about the suggestion. Additionally, did the end of my storage subscription contribute to this issue? Could it be that my files got corrupted because I went over the limit?
This archive is really important to me, containing art and videos that I don't want to lose. I'm hesitant to delete anything and am looking for any possible fixes.

It’s possible that the file is corrupted since you’ve been juggling storage issues. The cloud isn’t foolproof! I’d suggest trying to download the zip file again from Google Drive—sometimes just re-downloading can resolve odd issues like this. It might also be helpful since you mentioned you have more space now.

Yeah, definitely try downloading it again! If that doesn’t work, using a computer to unzip is usually the best bet. Just make sure you have a good unzipping tool!
