Help with VPN Blocking on Ethernet Connection While Working from Home

Hi all! I'm in a bit of a bind and could really use some help. I've recently started working hybrid and was given a Lenovo Thinkpad that runs on AOVPN with Windows 11. The issue is that my work laptop only connects to our company servers when I'm using WiFi. I prefer Ethernet for the speed, but when I connect via Ethernet, I can access the internet and Outlook, but I'm blocked from accessing the company programs and shared drives that I need for work. My IT team has tried troubleshooting without success. I've rebooted everything and tried switching Ethernet cables, and it works perfectly fine on my personal laptop. My setup includes a GL iNet router connected to a Spectrum modem, and I'm connecting to one of the LAN ports. Any suggestions to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like the laptop might be blocking certain ports or protocols when you’re on Ethernet. You could check the VPN settings to see if split tunneling is enabled and try disabling it. Also, check if your router has any firewall settings that might interfere. It might help to switch Ethernet ports or even reset your router to see if that resolves the issue.

Another thing to try is setting your network profile to private. You can do this under Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet. Just click on your Ethernet connection and change the profile. Then restart your VPN and see if it works!
