Help with WiFi Adapter on Fedora

Hey everyone! I could really use some help. I'm using Fedora 42 with XFCE, and I have a TL-WN723N V2 WiFi adapter that I normally use to set up a hotspot. It works perfectly on other distros and even on Windows, but Fedora doesn't seem to recognize its access point capabilities. I'm not really sure how to resolve this issue. Any suggestions?

Have you tried checking if it works on Fedora 43? Sometimes upgrading can solve compatibility issues with hardware.

No, it doesn't work on that version either.

It sounds like Fedora might be loading a different driver for your WiFi adapter, which may not support access point mode. If you can, try posting the output of `lsusb`, `iw list`, and `lsmod | grep rtl` so we can help identify the chipset and the right driver you need to get it working.

Keep in mind that Fedora focuses on transparency, which means they often avoid proprietary drivers. You might want to look into whether the Fusion or Terra driver might help. Alternatively, consider trying Ultramarine Linux, a Fedora fork that has more support for proprietary software; it might solve your issues.
