I'm having trouble with my Windows 2025 virtual machine that's running on VMware 7. Every time I try to start it up, I see the Windows logo for a moment, then it goes straight to a black screen. Restarting the VM doesn't fix it, and even moving it to a different host hasn't worked. Other virtual machines on the same host are working just fine. Has anyone else faced a similar issue or have any tips on how to resolve this?

When you encounter the black screen, can you still ping the VM or access it via RDP? Checking the event logs might give you some clues if you can get in.
Which version of VMware are you using? Not all installs of Server 2025 behave the same. Providing more details could really help.
Check page 63 of the VMware Compatibility Guide to see if your hypervisor version supports Server 2025. That might be the problem!
Yes, my hypervisor version is listed as supported.
Have you thought about reinstalling Windows 2025? That might be a viable option if nothing else works.
I’ve already tried reinstalling it.
