I'm facing a frustrating issue where my RAM usage spikes to 95-99% even when I don't have anything open. This problem tends to happen after my PC has been on for a few hours. It really slows everything down; loading web pages takes forever, my taskbar often won't respond, and I can see my mouse lagging. The only way to temporarily fix this seems to be restarting my computer, which I'd rather not do constantly. I've tried using RamMap and PoolMon to diagnose the issue, but they haven't pointed me to anything specific. I also did a clean install of my GPU drivers, but I'm still having this problem. I've attached some screenshots for reference. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

First off, have you checked for any viruses? Running a full virus scan can sometimes uncover hidden issues. Also, make sure your Windows updates are all current—sometimes failed updates can lead to performance problems. If everything seems fine there, try running a chkdsk to see if there are any disk errors that need fixing. Think back to when this started happening; was there a specific change or update that coincided with the issues?
Just a heads up, even apps like Discord and Paint can consume RAM, so they aren’t technically 'nothing.' However, since you have 16 GB of RAM, having those two open shouldn’t max out your usage. If it's still happening, it might be worth checking your task manager to see if any background processes are using up a lot of memory.
