I'm looking for a way to let end users install applications on their systems without needing local admin rights, while also ensuring those applications are regularly updated. Ideally, the process should be automated, so users can just initiate requests through an ITSM platform. Licensing is a concern to consider as well. I'm starting from scratch in a Greenfield environment, which means I can implement whatever solution I find suitable, and cost isn't an issue. Currently, I use SolarWinds for help desk support but am open to switching to another tool if needed. I'm contemplating options like Intune paired with BeyondTrust or CyberArk, alongside PatchMyPC. All of our end-user machines are running Windows 11. Any Enterprise Grade solutions or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

We've had success implementing a combination of PatchMyPC with Intune. It works seamlessly and gives end users a simple way to install necessary apps without admin rights.
Microsoft Configuration Manager, formerly known as SCCM, is a solid option. It allows users to install optional software and even sets certain applications to auto-install. Plus, it has excellent reporting features to help manage software licensing effectively.

That's great to hear! Do you have any recommendations for ITSM tools that work well with that setup?
