How Can I Access My Laptop If the Keyboard Is Failing?

I have an older laptop that I'm planning to replace soon, but before I do, I want to retrieve some important files from it. Unfortunately, some letters on my laptop's keyboard are no longer working, which is problematic since I need those letters to sign in and access my files.

I even tried connecting a different keyboard, but oddly enough, some of the same letters still won't type. I've checked for any debris or physical damage, and both keyboards appear to be in good condition. I'm looking for suggestions on how to log in or if there's a way to transfer my files to a new computer without signing in.

You might want to try using the on-screen keyboard since you have a working mouse. It’s a handy accessibility feature that lets you click on the keys you need! Just search for 'On-Screen Keyboard' in the accessibility settings.

How exactly do I find that? I only see the sign-in screen, Wi-Fi options, and shutdown.
