I'm trying to switch from Windows 10 to a Linux distribution, specifically Ubuntu, but I'm having some issues with accessing the BIOS. I want to set up a dual boot system due to concerns about privacy and resource usage. I've been pressing F2 and the Delete key repeatedly, but it doesn't seem to work. I've also tried a command in the terminal: 'systemctl reboot --firmware-setup', but that just resulted in a normal restart. What are my options here?

If all else fails, you may want to physically disconnect your storage devices and then power up the PC. Sometimes this forces the BIOS screen to show up, allowing you to access it directly.
Make sure that F2 is actually the correct key for your UEFI setup; manufacturers can be tricky with that. It might be worth checking the documentation for your specific motherboard to confirm the right key.
You could also try accessing the BIOS through Windows settings. Just press the Windows key + I to open the Settings, then navigate to Update & Security > Recovery. Under 'Advanced startup,' click 'Restart now' to see if it prompts you for BIOS access after rebooting.
I couldn't find the options you mentioned, even after trying the shortcuts. It's like they disappeared on me!
You might want to look for your motherboard’s manual online. It often contains specific instructions about accessing the BIOS and could help clarify which keys you should use.
I have the printed manual, but I'm not sure what exactly to look for regarding the BIOS access.

I'm certain F2 is the right key—I used it before to access BIOS.
