How Can I Avoid Burnout in My New DevOps Role?

I've recently started a DevOps role, but I'm not in a senior position and had no prior experience in DevOps. I'm the main contact for several applications now, and while I've managed to keep everything running, I'm hitting walls with issues that take so much longer to resolve than I'd like. I feel mentally exhausted and often battle imposter syndrome, worrying everyone knows I'm struggling. I'm responsible for implementing new infrastructure and handling various tasks, including database management and troubleshooting. My senior is tied up with other projects, leaving me to figure things out alone. How can I protect my mental health and avoid burnout in this demanding role?

Be very protective of your time! Only work late if it's a crisis that can't wait. Stick to a solid 8-hour workday. If someone asks for more, learn to say no. It’s important to set those boundaries to avoid burning out.
