Hey everyone! I'm wondering if you could share any tips or tricks for landing a job at my local Apple Store. I applied for a Specialist role about three weeks ago, and even reapplied today, but haven't heard back yet.
I'm a huge fan of Apple products, but I know they look for outgoing and friendly individuals. I consider myself a nice person—people often tell me I'm the cheerful guy who chats with everyone—but how can I convey that without meeting someone in person? Would it be alright to drop by the store and ask about my application or show my interest in person?
Also, is there a reason why I can't change my responses on the application? I just turned 18, but my application still reflects my age before that. Thanks for your help!

It’s important to show empathy instead of just being cheerful. When dealing with upset customers, it’s crucial they feel heard and understood. Focus on hospitality and social skills because Apple can teach technical knowledge, but it’s hard to teach good customer service. Just remember that being able to manage conflicts and provide genuine service is key!
That makes sense! I have some customer service experience myself. How did you get the job—was it your first try?
