How Can I Build a Gaming PC on a Tight Budget?

I'm a teenager looking to put together a gaming PC that can run games at 1080p and ideally around 100fps. However, I've never built a PC before, and my budget is pretty tight—around £400. I've been told by most people that buying a used PC might be a better option, but I want to make sure I have the right specs in mind if I decide to go that route. With current RAM prices, I'm wondering if I should just hold off and save up more money instead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

With RAM prices being what they are, building a new PC for that budget is pretty much impossible. You're better off looking at prebuilt systems where it's usually more cost-effective right now. Just be mindful of the specs—see if you can find something that’s at least decent for the games you want to play.

Got it! If I were to look at prebuilt options, what kind of specs should I focus on for games like Minecraft with shaders?
