Hey everyone! I've set up a gaming PC connected to my TV and I'm loving the console vibe using Steam's big picture mode. However, I'm wondering if I can disable the login screen when Windows starts. In the past, there was an option to do this, but I can't seem to find it anymore, and it looks like it might be grayed out. Is this feature still available in Windows?

What version of Windows are you running? If it's Windows 11 Pro, you can create a password-less local account through Computer Management. Just make sure to check the boxes for 'Password never expires' when you set it up. Then, it should auto-login every time you boot up! If you're on Windows 11 Home, it's a bit trickier, so you might want to look for some guides on it.
Thanks for the tips, everyone! I'll look into the local account setup and see if that does the trick.
If you only have one user account and it doesn't have a password, it should auto-login by default! Just make sure it's a local account, not linked to a Microsoft account.
Check out Microsoft's guide on enabling automatic login. Just follow the steps outlined to set it up! It should give you the simple solution you're looking for.
There are several ways to achieve what you're aiming for—just search online for 'disable Windows login' to find a bunch of tutorials. But be careful, as some methods can be tricky!

That's good to know! I had a similar setup, and it worked like a charm on my Pro version.
