Hey everyone! I'm trying to switch the country of my iCloud account because Apple has removed encryption from UK accounts. However, I've heard that I might have to cancel my Apple Music subscription, which would lead to losing all my songs and playlists. I've spent around 15 years building my music library, and I really don't want to lose it. Does anyone know what options I have? I've looked online, but I can't find a clear solution. It seems like my only choice might be to stop using iCloud entirely and find an encrypted alternative.

You shouldn't lose your purchased music when you change your country. If you cancel Apple Music, you can still use the service until the end of your billing period, and you can renew it later if you want. Just a heads up, though, cancelling will remove any Apple Music tracks you've added to your library, so be careful!
Are you talking about music from the streaming service or tracks you bought from the iTunes Store? Just so you know, Apple Music as a service hasn't been around for the full 15 years. If you mean purchased songs, ensure you download everything before you change your region.
I actually have both! But I’m worried that even if I download my Apple Music songs, I might still lose access to them.
Yeah, that means I would lose all the Apple Music songs I've added—definitely don’t want that.
