I recently used Rufus to format my 256GB SD card to FAT32. However, while the properties show it as FAT32, the format dropdown still indicates exFAT. I want to double-check if my SD card is actually formatted in FAT32 or if it didn't format correctly.

If the disk manager indicates it's FAT32, then that's what it is. Keep in mind that Windows has limitations on formatting larger drives to FAT32, so you might just have to trust what it's showing.
Chances are it’s still exFAT. Just remember that FAT32 has a file size limit of 4GB, making exFAT a better choice for larger files if your devices support it.
When the drive properties display FAT32, that means it is indeed formatted that way. The properties pull the file system info directly from the drive itself.

Just to clarify, FAT32 does have that 4GB file limit, but it can be over 4GB in total size if you have multiple files.
