How can I connect my iPhone to my computer to manage storage?

I'm trying to connect my iPhone to my computer using a USB-C to USB cable because my storage is almost full, but I'm running into issues. When I plug it in, it says "iPhone Registered," but I can't access the files. Am I missing something? I really need to free up some space since I only have about a gigabyte left on my phone. Also, does anyone know if there's an update on when "Sort by file size" might be added to the Photos app?

Make sure you have the right Apple drivers installed on your computer. You can download iCloud for Windows from the Microsoft App Store. Once that's set up, enable iCloud Drive and Photos so you can manage everything directly on your PC without needing to connect your iPhone each time. Also, check your iPhone settings under General > iPhone Storage to see what's taking up space and delete files you don't need. It might help to enable 'Optimize Storage' to offload some files to iCloud, freeing up space on your device.

What type of files are you trying to move? If they are mainly image files, you might consider copying them directly to an external hard drive, but it sounds like you're looking to clear space. Does your iCloud setup just mirror everything? You might be better off transferring files manually by accessing your photos directly.
