I'm having a major problem with my iPhone 13 Pro Max. The screen just turned green out of nowhere, and I haven't dropped it or exposed it to water. I spoke with support, and they advised me to visit a certified repair shop. The shop confirmed it's a manufacturing issue but said I can't get it fixed until they receive authorization from Apple. They provided me with a French support number, but I can't call it because I'm currently outside of Europe. Can anyone help me figure out how to contact them or get this sorted? Thanks!

You should be able to call any country from where you are, but I get that it can be expensive. If your phone is broken, it might not be worth it to pay 50 euros for a call. Have you checked if there are any alternative contact methods like online chat or email? Sometimes those can be easier and cheaper!
It sounds frustrating! But usually, certified shops can handle repairs without needing a green light from Apple. If they won't help, maybe try another shop that might have a different policy. They could be able to fix it directly.
I mentioned that, but they insisted that I needed authorization. It's such a hassle!
Apple's support is available globally, so you should have options. However, if you've already opened a case ID, it should help streamline your service. But if you're stuck calling the French number, consider using an international calling card or VoIP services that might have better rates.
I did try that with some services, but they still aren't cheap. I wish there was an easier way to reach Apple in this situation.

That's a good point! Apple usually offers support options online. Try checking their website for live chat or email support.
