I've been using Kubuntu for almost two months after switching from Windows 11, and while it's been smooth overall, there are a few things that annoy me. One major issue is not being able to control my Android phone from my PC. It's such a pain to grab my phone for authentication when it's charging on the other side of the room. I know about SCRCPY, but I haven't found a good GUI version and the wireless setup is kind of tricky. Sometimes, I also want to control my PC screen from my phone. Does anyone know of any apps that could help with this? I'm using Kubuntu LTS on an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H with a GTX 1650. Also, I'm aware of KDE Connect and I think it's great, but it doesn't allow me to mirror my phone's screen on my PC or open apps from my phone there.

You might want to look into other options like Vysor or TeamViewer for controlling your Android from your PC. They provide direct access and might suit your needs better than KDE Connect since you can mirror your device screen.
KDE Connect is definitely worth trying! It integrates quite nicely with Kubuntu and allows file transfers and notifications. However, I get that it doesn’t offer screen mirroring, which could be a downside for what you need. Have you considered any alternatives that focus on remote control?
Yeah, I'm already using KDE Connect and it’s pretty nice! I love the notifications and how seamless it is, but I’m still looking for that screen mirroring feature.

I haven’t used Vysor before. I heard it was good for screen mirroring, but do they have a stable Linux version?
