How Can I Control or Disable RGB Fans on My Linux PC?

I'm new to Linux and recently picked up a PC from a friend that has some RGB fans, and they are quite annoying. I've been trying to get OpenRGB to detect my motherboard, but it just won't, and I noticed it's not on the supported devices list either. Are there steps I might be missing? I've also checked the BIOS/UEFI, but there aren't any RGB settings there. Here's some additional info: My motherboard is an Acer Predator PO5-650, and I'm using Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS. Any help would be much appreciated!

Did your friend manage to control the RGB fans when using Windows? If they’re connected directly to the power supply with a molex cable, you won’t be able to control them at all—they’ll run at full power all the time, RGB included. You might need to check that setup!

Yeah, I heard there’s a program called Predator Sense for Windows that allows control over the RGB, but unfortunately, that's not an option for me right now.

Are your RGB fans set up to be externally controllable? If they have four wires or fewer, you’re probably not going to be able to adjust the RGB through software. Do you know the model of the fans? Also, is there any RGB controller in your case? That's becoming less common, but some setups still have them.

I believe they can be controlled externally. The fans seem to be the native ones, probably DC.10911.00H. I’ll have to check the model physically later, but I can see at least four wires now and it doesn't look like there's any controller in the case.
