I'm really excited about my dream PC build and I want to make sure I stick to a budget of $3,500, which includes the rig and an OLED monitor. Since this is my first build, I'm uncertain about how to prioritize my spending and where I can cut costs. Would it be wise to downgrade components like the GPU to a 5070 Ti or the CPU to a 7800 X3D? What other parts might I be overspending on? I'd love to hear how others would optimize their builds if they had a similar budget.

You could save quite a bit by switching to a less expensive power supply that’s still reliable, or even looking at some good budget RAM options. For instance, you might find some 6000 CL30 RAM that’s just a few bucks more than what you have selected but offers better performance. Also, check if you can find a better motherboard that’s optimized for overclocking at a similar price point. I've seen a few configurations that dropped the GPU to an RTX 5080, which can be quite a bit cheaper without sacrificing much performance. If you’re set on OLED, try comparing some 1440p options that are still within the $500 range.

I totally agree! Also, if you can, try to get a 1440p QD-OLED monitor as it provides a great balance between quality and budget without breaking the bank.
