How can I disable an empty HDMI input on my Samsung TV?

I'm having an issue with my Samsung TV where it automatically defaults to HDMI 2, which doesn't have any input connected, whenever I power it on using my Xfinity remote. I've tried turning off HDMI CEC, and it works about 80% of the time for my DVR to show up correctly. However, I'm looking for a way to completely disable or hide this empty HDMI input. Any suggestions?

You might want to check the settings for an option called 'autorun last app.' This could help if you're not actually using HDMI 2. There are also settings to stop the TV from automatically going to the Samsung hub, which might help as well.

I tried that too, but it didn't work for me. It seems like we'll just have to get used to it for now.
