How Can I Disable Google’s AI Results?

I'm really frustrated with Google searches lately. It feels like the AI is hiding most of the results, only showing me one or two options that are often not what I'm looking for. I've tried a bunch of the suggestions out there, and I'm seriously considering switching to DuckDuckGo permanently. Is there any way to actually turn off this AI feature or get results back to how they used to be?

Another option is using the AI Content Shield or similar addons. They work pretty well to block those AI results, even if the AI is still processing behind the scenes.

You can try using this direct link for web-only search: https://www.google.com/search?pws=0&udm=web&q=%20. I use it all the time and it feels more like the good ol' days of Google. Also, consider the Brave browser with the ad blocker set to aggressive—makes a huge difference!

You might want to look into some browser extensions designed to hide AI-generated answers. I tried one with Edge, but it seems to lose its effectiveness over time. Just a heads up on that front!

There isn't a one-size-fits-all solution, but a tip is to add '-ai' at the end of your search query. This can help bypass that annoying AI summary fluff and show you more relevant results. You could also set your browser to automatically append this to all searches, which can save you time.

Yeah, that's a smart move! You can bookmark a search link that eliminates the AI stuff too, like this: https://www.google.com/search?pws=0&udm=web&q=%20. It'll take you straight to the plain web results.

For sure! Using the -ai trick really does make a difference.

Honestly, I think Google is just using AI to justify their expenses to investors. They don't care if it's useful; they just want to show it’s there. It's like market manipulation disguised as progress. I get frustrated because sometimes the AI results are actually misleading.

Exactly! It feels like they're trying to limit our search freedom. It's concerning how they're making us less critical about their results.
