I'm using an Asus F15 laptop running Windows 11 Pro, and I'm having trouble turning off V-sync for a game. When I go to the Nvidia control panel, select the game, and set V-sync to OFF, I get an alert that says the action cannot be performed. I've heard that my operating system might be overriding these changes for compatibility reasons. Is there an easy way to disable this override, or do I need to dive into advanced settings? Also, I notice a message in the Nvidia control panel saying 'Windows OS now manages selection of the graphics processor.'

Check your system settings. Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics. Find your game, click on it, select 'Options,' and set it to 'High performance.' Restart the game and see if you can adjust V-Sync afterward.
You should try using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove all Nvidia drivers and software. After that, reinstall the latest Nvidia drivers from their website. This can sometimes solve conflicts that prevent settings changes.

I should mention that my game is pretty old and doesn't have an option to change V-sync within its settings...
