I'm trying to figure out how to enable Secure Boot on my ASUS motherboard. In the BIOS, under the 'Boot' tab, I see that the Secure Boot State is set to 'User' but it's greyed out. The OS Type is listed as 'Other OS' and the Secure Boot Mode is set to 'Custom'. I've followed some instructions online to help me play Battlefield 6, but my BIOS interface looks different than what was described. I know my system is UEFI and that I've set my disk to GPT. I've also disabled 'Launch CSM', but 'Fast Boot' is still enabled, and I've read that might need to be turned off. I'm not very tech-savvy, and I built this PC a few years ago without any major issues, so I'm feeling a bit lost right now. I've also come across instructions saying I need to restore some keys to enable Secure Boot, but when I go to manage keys in the BIOS, there are no options for restoring keys.

To enable Secure Boot, you need to change the OS Type from 'Other OS' to 'Windows UEFI Mode' (or similar, depending on your BIOS). If you don’t do this, Secure Boot will stay greyed out. Just be sure to back up your data first! When you switch over, double-check if you need to disable 'Fast Boot'. It can sometimes cause issues but is not always necessary to turn off. After you make those changes, you might need to restore keys in the Secure Boot menu, but the options should then appear for you to manage.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely back up my data before trying anything. Just so I know, what happens if I mess it up?
