I'm already running Windows 11 but need help with enabling TPM 2.0. Most guides I've found are for upgrading from Windows 10, and they don't apply to my situation. What are my options for getting TPM 2.0?

I’m curious, why are you looking to enable TPM 2.0? Did you see or hear something specific that made you ask this? I'd love to understand the context!

If your computer doesn’t have a TPM 2.0 chip, you won't be able to just "get it". You'll probably need to replace your motherboard with one that has a TPM chip installed. However, some motherboards offer firmware TPM options, so check if that’s available for yours.

There are also add-on adapters for some motherboards that can provide TPM functionality. You might want to look into that as a solution.

Another route could be enabling PTT (for Intel CPUs) or fTPM (for AMD CPUs) in your BIOS, as they can serve as a firmware TPM without needing a dedicated chip.
