Hey folks! I'm using iOS 18.5 on my iPhone, and I'm really concerned about security when it comes to the password autofill feature. Is there a way to set it up so that my iPhone requires a password or Face ID authentication before it uses saved login info? I'm worried that if my kids use my phone, they could easily access my bank accounts through Safari or other browsers since all my passwords are stored in the Passwords app. I remember that in iOS 17, it would prompt for my passcode, but I'm not seeing that option now. Is there a way to re-enable some sort of authentication before autofilling passwords on iOS 18.5? Thanks a lot!

The autofill feature is supposed to ask for authentication, at least when entering your username. It could be that something's off with your settings if it's not prompting you for Face ID or a passcode.
You can actually authenticate before autofilling by going to Settings > Face ID & Passcode, and turning on the switch for Password Autofill. That should help secure it for you!
Don’t worry! Your kids can’t access it unless they can replicate your Face ID. Autofill needs Face ID or your passcode, so they shouldn’t be able to get in unless they have that.
It still prompts for authentication for me, so it’s definitely possible you're having a settings issue. Make sure you check all your privacy settings related to that feature!
