I'm getting rid of my old ASUS FA507RR laptop, which has been out of commission since the screen broke a year ago. It's just been sitting in my closet, and I want to make sure that all data, especially sensitive photos, is completely removed before I dispose of it. I've already taken out the M.2 SSD, but I'm wondering if there's any other storage on the motherboard, like a secondary M.2 slot or eMMC storage, that I might have missed. Can anyone help me confirm if this device is completely clean?

It sounds like you've done most of the heavy lifting by removing the M.2 SSD. However, check if there's another M.2 slot on the other side of the memory stick because there might be an empty port. Also, don't forget to look under that paper cover—there could be either a battery or even a hidden 2.5" drive bay there. Just make sure it's all cleared out!

Thanks for the tip! So do you think I should remove the battery just to be safe?
