I'm dealing with a situation where my laptop has a faulty battery, and I took it to Geek Squad for repair. They're going to ship it out, and it will take about two weeks. My main concern is losing my data and files during this process. I have access to OneDrive and a laptop that can use it, plus I have a 1TB flash drive, but I'm worried that may not be enough. I suspect they might wipe my computer even though I only need a battery change. What can I do to protect my data effectively?

You really shouldn't have to worry about them wiping your computer just for a battery replacement. It's usually a straightforward swap that you could handle on your own if needed. If you're still using the laptop, just back up everything to your flash drive. It's a bit slow, but it will work. Just keep in mind that OneDrive only syncs files from specific folders. Files stored elsewhere on your C:
ive could be lost if they wipe the system.
Could you share how you'd go about saving stuff?
They normally have data backup options available before sending it out. Just ask if you're unsure!
Do I need to request that, or will they automatically inform me?
Quick question: what exactly is a labtop?
It's just a typo, they meant laptop!
Honestly, just get a replacement battery and do it yourself. It's not that complicated!
I really don’t trust myself with that kind of thing, and I’d rather use my warranty than spend extra on a new battery.
What other options should I consider for saving my stuff?
