I'm trying to expand my C drive because I have some empty unallocated space available, but for some reason, the 'expand' option isn't clickable. I found this screenshot that shows my disk layout: [link]. I've also read that using third-party software can help, but I'm not sure which ones are trustworthy.

You might want to try out Minitool Partition Wizard; the free version works well for these tasks. Just remember to uninstall it after you’re done, or you might get some annoying pop-ups when it starts up.

Definitely give Minitool Partition Wizard a shot! It's fairly straightforward and gets the job done.

Yeah, Windows has some limitations—it can't jump over partitions. If you want to expand your C drive using the built-in tool, you'll have to delete or move the D and F partitions to be next to C. I've never used a third-party tool for this, so I can't help much with that.

Windows Disk Management only lets you expand partitions into unallocated space that is immediately to the right. Since your D and F drives are in the way, you’ll need a tool like Easeus Partition Master to move them over. That way, the unallocated space will be adjacent to your C drive, allowing you to expand it without any issues.
