I'm currently using Privileged Identity Management (PIM) to access the Exchange Admin Panel, but my elevation only lasts for 4 hours. When the time runs out, I need to close my browser and re-elevate to continue using the console, which disrupts my workflow. Is there a way to extend the PIM access before it expires? I'd like to know if there are better strategies for maintaining continuous access without interruption while working on tasks.

You might want to check the PIM portal in Azure. Go to 'my roles' and then 'active assignments'; you can extend your role from there.
If you're spending a lot of time in the Exchange Admin Panel, consider increasing your PIM eligibility time to around 9 hours. This way, you can elevate your access in the morning and get on with your work without frequent interruptions.
You can adjust the 4-hour limit in Entra. Simply go to Identity Governance, select Privileged Identity Management, and edit your role settings to extend the time. Just remember, extending it beyond a full workday kind of defeats the purpose of PIM. If you're going to be doing privileged work for extended periods, you could create a new privileged user account and apply phishing-resistant MFA for a smoother experience.
