I've been dealing with a really slow Windows laptop for the past year. It's frustrating because every time I log in, I get a black screen which forces me to reset and try logging in again. Once I'm in, it takes at least 5 minutes for anything to happen—like icons loading or my clicks registering. I've attempted to factory reset it, but it always gets stuck at 80%. I really need some help with this.

I totally get your frustration! A clean install is definitely the way to go. Just make sure you have all your important stuff backed up, because this will wipe everything. After you set up the USB drive, change your boot order in BIOS to the USB first, and then you can follow the on-screen instructions. It might seem daunting, but it's usually pretty straightforward!
Factory resets can be super tricky and often just make things worse. Instead, I recommend doing a clean install of Windows. It’s usually more effective! You'll need a USB drive with the Windows installation media. Just download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's website, follow the prompts to create the drive, and then boot from it to start the installation. Make sure to back up your important files first!
Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely try the clean install route.
