How Can I Find Compatible Brands for Linux?

I'm new to the world of Linux and I have a question that might seem silly. I'm considering buying a NUC mini PC (here's the link to one I'm looking at), but I'm unsure if it will run Linux, specifically Ubuntu. I have had trouble with my HP laptop when trying to install Ubuntu, so I'm wondering how to find out which brands and models are actually compatible with Linux. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Just to clarify, every HP laptop I’ve tried has been a challenge getting Linux on it. I’ve asked around, too! If anyone can help me with my current laptop issues, I’d appreciate it!

The internet is your best friend for this. Just type the device's name along with 'Linux' in a search engine, and you'll usually find whether others have had issues with it before buying.

Honestly, I've hardly found hardware I couldn't run Linux on. My only hiccup was sound on my HP laptop, but that sorted itself out over time. Asus products are generally reliable with Linux, too. If you're worried, just try a different hard drive with your preferred distro and return it if it doesn’t work out.
