Hi everyone! I have an NC10 laptop and after upgrading to a new Windows version, I'm experiencing some keyboard issues. Specifically, when I type, the letter keys that double as number keys are acting like they're locked in the FN mode. This means I have to keep pressing the FN key to get the actual letters instead of the secondary functions, which is really frustrating since I use Word for work a lot. Interestingly, this problem only occurs with the letter keys; other FN options seem to work fine. Is there a way I can write some code to reverse this behavior, or make changes to the laptop's settings to resolve this? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried Googling your problem? Sometimes, after an upgrade, the keyboard layout might change, which can cause issues like this. Double-check your settings to ensure everything's how it should be!
Have you looked into your laptop for a NumLock key? Sometimes, it gets locked on startup and can be the cause of this issue. Check your keyboard driver or system BIOS for any NumLock settings.
I checked for that, and while it seemed to be engaged, nothing changed when I tried fixing it. This all started after the upgrade.
You're in the wrong forum for this; it might be smarter to reach out to a tech support community. Usually, if it's a known issue, a quick search can help. Also, don’t forget to check your BIOS/UEFI settings; sometimes those have options for the FN keys.
I get where you're coming from, but I've tried everything and I'm leaning towards needing a program fix. I'm just hoping to get some help with coding it!
If you're struggling to access the BIOS, that might indicate deeper issues with your laptop. Good luck getting it sorted!

I have, but I'm at my wit's end here!
