I've been having a tough time with my laptop keyboard lately. The moisture from the winter and even a soup spill have left the keys acting really strangely. They seem to register inputs even when I'm not touching them! I've used an external keyboard which helped for a while, but the issue with the laptop keyboard still lingers. I've tried uninstalling the drivers for my laptop's keyboard, but that hasn't made a difference. Right now, my Shift and Control keys are constantly inputting, and I want to disable the laptop's keyboard so only the external one registers. If anyone has advice on how to do this, I'd really appreciate your help!

First, check if the power key is part of the issue. If it is somehow interfering, that could be causing keyboard inputs. Sometimes, moisture can make those keys sticky, too.

No, the power key isn't part of the main keyboard. It's a separate button, thankfully!
