I'm having trouble getting my Mac Mini to display on my 50Hz TV through HDMI. The computer starts up just fine, and the TV works perfectly with my Apple TV, but I'm getting a black screen when I connect the two. I'm looking for any suggestions or troubleshooting tips to get this sorted out!

When you mention that you can't see anything, it might be worth confirming whether there's a signal from the Mac Mini. Try changing the refresh rate in the Display settings on your Mac. Most 50Hz TVs should handle 60Hz inputs just fine, but you could be facing a different issue like a cable problem or selecting the wrong input on the TV.

Yeah, I see the Apple logo and the boot-up bar, but then it goes black after that. The computer seems to be running normally, though. Any ideas on how to reset the TV settings from my Mac?

First things first, try to change the resolution on your Mac to one that your TV can display. Sometimes the resolution being set too high can lead to a black screen. If you're unable to see anything on the screen because it's black, you might need to reset the display settings by booting your Mac in safe mode or using an external monitor temporarily if you have access to one.

That sounds like a good plan! If you can't see the screen at all, make sure to check the HDMI cable too, as a faulty cable can also cause display issues. Double-check that your TV is set to the correct HDMI input as well.
