How can I fix my old RCA TV cutting off images at the edges?

I'm trying to get my old RCA RT4038 TV to work properly, but the images are getting cut off at the edges, even when I switch to the "normal" zoom mode. I noticed that some other TVs have settings to adjust the aspect ratio, but I can't find anything like that on mine. I've tested all three HDMI ports, but none seem to solve the problem. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this? I can't find any useful information online, and I no longer have the instruction manual.

From what I understand, the HDMI Mode setting can sometimes be tricky to locate. People have mentioned it might be hidden under 'Advanced settings'. So, if you see that option, switch to 'Graphic mode' to see if it resolves the issue.

I checked, but HDMI mode isn't showing up at all in my settings.

I saw a suggested image link that might give clues, but it seems like generic info that doesn't really help if it doesn't match your TV model. It’s frustrating as the same solutions keep coming up without addressing your specific issue.

Yeah, I totally get that. It can be disheartening getting the same advice that doesn't help.

You might want to check for an 'HDMI Mode' option that could be hiding under the 'Advanced Setting' section within the Picture tab of the main menu. If it's there, try setting it to Graphic Mode to see if that helps. Although, it sounds like you've already dug through the options quite a bit.

I couldn't find the advanced settings option in my menu either, so it might be worth exploring other menu sections.
