I'm having a problem where my 850W power supply unit (PSU) keeps tripping my 15A breaker whenever I turn it on. After troubleshooting, I suspect that the PSU might be shorted or that there's too much inrush current for the breaker to handle. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I’d suggest going through some basic troubleshooting steps first. Check if it trips other breakers; if it's consistently tripping them all, you may need to replace the PSU. Just so you know, even at 850W, your PSU shouldn't be pulling that much current if it's functioning properly.
It sounds like something’s definitely up. Either your PSU is faulty or the breaker itself is having issues. Have you tried plugging the computer into a different circuit? If it trips that breaker too, your PSU might be toast.
Yeah, it trips the other breaker too. This was a new PSU and breaker switch, so it’s really frustrating!
Yep, it trips others too. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting tips except checking for inrush current. The PSU might just be dead.
