Three days ago, I returned home and my PC seemed fine at first. However, when I tried to adjust the volume by clicking the sound setting, it just showed a loading cursor without opening anything. I then attempted to access the settings menu, but it once again showed a loading cursor and closed before fully opening. I've tried various command prompts, but even attempting to access the Advanced system settings using the power button didn't work. Everything else on my PC is functioning properly, but I can't access anything related to settings or the Windows menu. I really need help, especially since I just got my PC back from the tech shop a few months ago and can't afford to take it back. I'm unsure if it's a hardware or software issue.

If it just keeps closing and gives you a message about 'ms-settings not found', it sounds like a deeper issue. You might want to consider running a system file check. You can do this by opening Command Prompt as an administrator and typing 'sfc /scannow'. That might fix any corrupted files if it's a software problem.
Have you tried opening settings through a couple of different methods? You can press Win + I, or if that doesn't work, you could try going through Ctrl + Alt + Delete to get to the Task Manager. From there, you can run a new task by entering 'ms-settings:' and hitting OK. That might help you access the settings you're looking for!
