How can I fix unallocated space issues on my hard drive?

I'm having some trouble with my hard drive setup on Windows 11. Currently, I have some unallocated space, and when I try to use MiniTool Partition Wizard to add that space to my main partition, I run into problems. After rebooting, an error message pops up saying there have been changes to the disk configuration, and then my Windows won't boot properly. I generally have to boot from a USB. To give you some background, I used to dual boot with another partition but deleted it, which I think may have messed up my current boot partition. So now, I'm dealing with both a partition issue and a boot issue. Any advice on how to resolve this?

Could you provide a screenshot from Windows Disk Management instead? The one from MiniTool might not give the full picture. Seeing the actual layout of your partitions in Disk Management could help identify the issue better.

The easiest and safest route might be to do a clean install of Windows. During the installation process, delete all existing partitions so you're left with only unallocated space, then create a new partition that uses all of that space. It might feel like a big step, but it could save you further headaches down the line!

I really want to avoid that if possible, so I'm hoping for some other solutions first.
