I bought the HEVC Video Extensions from the Microsoft Store thinking it would enable H.265 playback on my PC, but it hasn't worked at all. My system meets the requirements, and the installation went smoothly, yet I can't play anything in that format. Now I'm facing another challenge: requesting a refund. I can't find a clear option for Microsoft Store refunds in their support section; there's no mention of Store apps—just things like Windows and Xbox. Has anyone successfully obtained a refund for the HEVC extension or any Microsoft Store app? I'd appreciate any advice on which category to select or if there's a specific support link I should use.

Most Microsoft Store apps aren't refundable unless local laws require it. The HEVC extension just adds support for the codec but doesn’t guarantee that all media players will utilize it. Some might not even recognize it. Make sure you’re using a media player that can take advantage of it, like VLC!
