How Can I Get AMD Screws for My New PC Cooler?

I just upgraded to a Freezer 36 cooler for my Ryzen 7 5700X, but there's a problem. It didn't come with screws for AMD installation, and it suggested using old screws, which I don't have since this is my first cooler upgrade. I tried installing it with the included screws, but when my PC is upright, the cooler sags and loses contact, although it does cool better than my stock cooler. How can I find the right screws for installation?

I think the cooler just reuses the stock AM4/AM5 backplate. Just attach the standoffs, plates, and then screw the cooler down properly. You might want to consider finding a compatible backplate since you're missing those screws.

I don't even have a backplate to begin with, which is why I'm stuck!

If you order from Amazon, you can select the option for 'replacement parts' if your kit is incomplete. They’ll contact the supplier for you. But if you didn't order from there, you might need to check with the cooler's company directly—definitely don’t wait it out.

I can't order from Amazon; it's too expensive here and they don’t deliver.

You should have received 4 screws, 4 standoffs, and 2 brackets for AMD with your cooler. Did you check to see if they were included? Also, make sure to look at the support page for setup guidance.

I only got the Intel screws and couldn't find any AMD parts in the manual. It just led me to a different website without the AMD setup details.

Make sure to tighten those screws fully. Some coolers use standard screws, meaning the same set might work for both Intel and AMD installations. It could be that yours is one of those. But definitely reach out to the manufacturer instead of looking for screws on Amazon or eBay—those might not work.

The screws I got are already tightened, but the cooler still droops. It's becoming a nuisance.
