How can I get back on my school’s Wi-Fi after being blocked?

Hey everyone! A while back, I connected to my school's Wi-Fi using a password from a friend when student devices weren't allowed. Now I've been kicked off and it seems like my home IP or computer is blocked. I can't access some important school services or download the Bluebook app for the SAT. I returned my school laptop, and my other device is a Chromebook that doesn't support Bluebook, so I need to sort this out for my upcoming college prep and testing. How can I fix this?

If everything else fails, don’t hesitate to reach out for tech support or check with friends if they can help. It's better to keep things real rather than trying to figure it all out on your own.

Sounds like your MAC address may have been blocked on your device. The school IT department can lift that block for you, but they are the ones who need to do it; no one else can help you with it.

You could try resetting your network connection on your Chromebook. If that doesn’t work, definitely reach out to the school. They’re the only ones who can clear the blockage on their network.

You should definitely contact your school's IT support. They can help you get back online. Just be straightforward and say you need access for school-related tasks, without going into too much detail about what happened. They'll have the best solution since they manage the network.

Totally agree! Just keep it simple when you reach out. IT gets a lot of requests, and they appreciate clear communication.

Just so you know, accessing a private network without permission can lead to issues like being banned. So, in the future, make sure to follow TOS. But right now, contacting the school’s IT is your best bet for getting unblocked.
