My partner and I have been traveling a lot and staying in various Airbnb places. He enjoys watching a lot of TV but gets really frustrated when the TVs don't have basic local channels. We're trying to figure out if there's a device or setup we could use, like a TV antenna, to pick up local stations like ABC, NBC, CBS, and others. I've noticed a future Airbnb we're going to has Roku, but he found it tricky to navigate in a previous Airbnb. Any advice on how we can easily access local channels?

Yep, a UHF/VHF TV antenna is probably your best bet for getting those local channels. Just be aware that availability of local stations can vary by location, so it’s good to check that first. If the Airbnb doesn’t have access to those channels, you might need to look into streaming options, but it sounds like there’s been some trouble with that too.
A good option for picking up local channels is using a regular TV antenna. They’re still available, and they can tune into local broadcasts if there are any available in the area you’re staying. Just keep in mind that the reception depends on the location of the Airbnb, as some places don’t have good access to over-the-air channels at all.
True, some areas don’t have any local broadcasts, so double-check the area's coverage before relying on an antenna.
Exactly, knowing what’s available in the area is crucial. If local stations aren't an option, maybe streaming services with local news channels might help.
