I'm totally new to Linux—like, I really don't know anything about it. A friend suggested I make the switch, but I have zero idea on where to begin or how to switch over. Can anyone share some tips or resources to help me learn more?

A great way to start is by trying out Linux on an old PC or using a Virtual Machine. Just dive in and do what you usually do on a computer. You might hit some bumps initially, but practicing will help you get comfortable over time. Plus, don't stress about choosing the right distribution right away—pick one that feels good to you!

In my opinion, the easiest way to get into Linux is just to try it out! You can use a Live USB without changing your Windows setup. Tools like Ventoy can help you boot from a USB stick and check out various distros without any commitment. Focus on what works best for you and enjoy the learning process! Here are some good resources:
- Ventoy: [ventoy.net](https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html)
- Debian Live USB: [debian.org](https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current-live/amd64/iso-hybrid/)
- Linux Mint: [linuxmint.com](https://linuxmint.com/download.php)
Feel free to ask more questions as you explore!

I followed some advice and started using VirtualBox for my Linux journey. It’s a bit confusing, but I think I’m finally on the right track!
